Amgen Scientist - Inflammation Research in Thousand Oaks, California

The Department of Inflammation Research is seeking a Scientist to investigate mechanisms of immune mediated pathogenesis in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and to discover and develop innovative therapies to treat these diseases.


Perform cutting-edge research that integrates genetics and biology for target discovery.

Develop novel therapies in the area of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by using various innovative technologies and approaches.

Independently propose therapeutic targets and lead project teams in collaboration with research scientists at multiple functional areas such as Therapeutic Discovery, Medical Sciences, and Computational Biology.

Publish and present at national/international conferences.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree


Master's degree and 4 years of scientific experience


Bachelor's degree and 6 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD or MD, with postdoctoral training and research experience in the fields of immunology, molecular biology or human genetics

Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and scientific achievement in the area of immunology
