Amgen Sales Training Manager - Oncology New Hire in Thousand Oaks, California

The Sales Training Manager will be responsible for:

Preparing, coordinating, and facilitating Oncology Business Unit new hire training with field guest trainers, leading to the certification of new oncology sales representatives to sell Amgen oncology products.

Establishing training metrics/assessments to measure performance.

Facilitating the Medical, Legal and Regulatory review of new hire training materials.

Collaborating with Global Training team to incorporate new hire curriculum updates.

Working with the Oncology Marketing teams to develop and facilitate workshops at National Sales Meetings in addition to supporting ad hoc field training needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree


Master's degree and 2 years of training and/or sales and/or marketing experience


Bachelor's degree and 4 years of training and/or sales and/or marketing experience


Associate's degree and 10 years of training and/or sales and/or marketing experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of training and/or sales and/or marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

4+ years of biotech or pharmaceutical selling experience.

2+ years of selling in the oncology space.

2+ years of training experience.

Demonstrated strong communication, leadership, and presentation/facilitation skills.

Ability to leverage and build cross-matrix relationships.

Demonstrated good organizational and project management skills.

Documented ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales goals.

to learn new disease state and clinical knowledge quickly.
