Amgen Process Development Sr. Associate Scientist - Polysorbate and Excipients in Thousand Oaks, California

Attribute Sciences of Process Development is seeking a Process Development Senior Associate Scientist. The Sr Associate Scientist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, platform methodologies, and technologies to analyze, characterize, and quantify Polysorbate in Amgen formulated products.
The main responsibilities of the position will be to manage and support sample testing, qualify and transfer Polysorbate methods, and to collaborate with representatives from key functions within Process Development and Quality.
Master's degree and 3 years of Scientific experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Scientific experience
Good written and oral communication skills for the timely documentation, reporting, and discussion of science-based results and strategy in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, and team-based environment
Extensive knowledge and experience with polysorbate including; hands-on experience analyzing and characterizing polysorbate, excellent laboratory skills and experience, and basic knowledge in analytical method development and qualification, in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
Experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) / Ultra High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC); experience with UV-Vis spectrophotometry; experience with solid phase extraction and liquid-liquid extraction; knowledge in biopharmaceutical process and product development; experience in method transfer to a GMP environment, and familiarity with method validation
