Amgen Marketing Sr Mgr, Payer & Employer in Thousand Oaks, California

Lead the development and execution of the strategic value marketing plan for the U.S. Neuroscience product portfolio. Develop short and long-term value platform, tools/resources to communicate the value proposition to drive coverage with formulary decision-makers, and support value-based initiatives as part of innovative partnerships with U.S. employer, payer and integrated delivery network (IDN) customers. Work cross-functionally with the U.S. Reimbursement Value Access (RAV) team, Global Health Economics (GHE), Center for Observational Research (CfOR), U.S. medical teams including Medical Communications and Global Publication Planning, Health Outcomes and Pharmacoeconomic Specialists(HOPES), Commercial Strategy and Analytics (CS&A), Global Payer, Pricing and Planning team (GP3), and brand marketing on data generation, development of the U.S. Value Story and Communication platform, and the development of Value Marketing tools for use by field teams (e.g., Organized Customer Team (OCT account executives and Employer National Account Directors). Other responsibilities include supporting RAV lead on various analytics and payer contracting strategies, supporting relationships with key external Payer and IDN customers, and working with third-party vendors to facilitate the internal legal, regulatory and medical review of marketing materials via the Materials Approval and Compliance (MAC)/Pharmacoeconomic Materials Approval and Compliance (PMAC) process. Effectively rollout and train the Organized Customer Team (OCT - field account executives) on programs and resources. Provide guidance, support and analyses to pricing/contracting counterparts. Provide support to field staff to address questions and participate in sales meetings and training. Provide guidance and input into the

U.S. brand and RAV planning process.

Key Activities:

  • Lead development and execution of the value marketing strategies for neuroscience product portfolio, including the development of long-term value stories across organized customer stakeholders, tools/resources to effectively communicate each product's value proposition to drive coverage, and support value-based initiatives

  • Lead development of value-marketing plan, integrating with RAV and overall brand strategic plans

  • Project and relationship manage the development of tools/resources, training, and programs to deliver on value marketing strategy

  • Align and/or lead cross-functional works streams to support business initiatives for employers, payers and IDNs

  • Lead coordination of MAC/PMAC approval process to support rollout of neuroscience value marketing resources

  • Plan and execute training on materials for the OCT

  • Provide input to RAV lead regarding payer contracting strategies

  • Engage and partner with U.S. Value-Based Partnerships team to explore and potentially pilot innovative value-based initiatives

  • Develop and manage the value marketing budget and vendors

  • Coordinate with CS&A to conduct relevant market research in support of strategic and tactical plans.

  • 5-10% travel required

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of project management, sales and/or marketing experience

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of project management, sales and/or marketing experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of project management, sales and/or marketing experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of project management, sales and/or marketing experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of project management, sales and/or marketing experience
