Amgen Marketing Manager, ENBREL Peer-to-Peer in Thousand Oaks, California

The ENBREL Peer-to-Peer Promotions Marketing Manager will execute on Amgen internal programs for the US Inflammation Business Unit. You will support speaker programs, opinion leader engagement, advisory boards, and Congress meetings. Delivery of these programs will drive appropriate use of ENBREL for patients across the indications on a legendary brand. This position will report to the Sr. Marketing Manager of Peer-to-Peer Promotions for the ENBREL Brand Team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Execution of the speaker bureau for ENBREL, speaker training with HCPs, content development and roll-out support for HCP peer-to-peer programs.

  • Measurement of impact of peer-to-peer initiatives and iteratively optimize the high return programs.

  • Cross functional team work engaging multiple external vendors and internal departments, including marketing, sales, marketing operations, market research, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, corporate compliance, and corporate affairs.

  • Managing of projects through the legal, regulatory, and medical review process.

  • Program budget management and developing metrics to track success of the peer-to-peer programs.

  • Collaboration with HCP marketing team members for optimizing programs, communications, learnings, and opportunities across the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree

OR

  • Master's degree and 2 years of marketing and/or sales experience

OR

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of marketing and/or sales experience

OR

  • Associate degree and 10 years of marketing and/or sales experience

OR

  • High School diploma/GED and 12 years of marketing and/or sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or life science or MBA in marketing, healthcare management, or related discipline

  • 4+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales and marketing experience, district sales management experience

  • Experience with working in Cross-Functional leadership environment

  • Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues

  • Experience in inflammation or other specialty markets

  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility within sales and/or marketing

  • Proven ability to proactively analyze business problems, identify key issues, develop strategic solutions, implement tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business impact

  • Outstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple vendors and agency partners

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting marketing programs to large groups including senior management

  • Strong leadership and ability to drive influence across stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure flawless execution
