Amgen Manager, Marketing Campaign Operations in Thousand Oaks, California

The Marketing Campaign Operations Manager serves as a direct connection between the brand's marketing strategy and campaign execution. You will actively engage with brand leads to understand needs, pain points and how clients can drive business value by leveraging Amgen's Omni-channel Marketing Platform and services.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Campaign Strategy & Operations, the Manager of Marketing Campaign Operations plays a key role in their assigned brands by building meaningful relationships with key players, becoming a trusted advisor, growing customer utilization, driving delivery satisfaction, and increasing overall customer success.

This role is will act as a consultative/advisor role that will build and maintain strong relationships with their clients with an emphasis on ensuring overall satisfaction, and meeting campaign and strategic expectations and deadlines and ensuring our services are able to meet their client's needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with marketers across multiple therapeutic areas/brands, external vendors and other key stakeholders to influence, develop and deploy integrated customer engagement journeys

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to brands on how to optimize customer engagement journeys

  • Define business rules and campaign requirements to translate the promotional plans into the operations Campaign Specification Document

  • Coding of campaigns or coordination with campaign development team for coding of campaigns in the Marketing Automation Tool per the operations Campaign Specifications Document

  • Facilitate campaign delivery processes on behalf of assigned brands including but not limited to brand planning, coordination across agencies and GCOIS, vendor on-boarding, and related activities.

  • Deploying and monitor tactics according to the Customer Promotion Plan including routine monitoring internally and externally during non-business hours, weekends and holidays

  • Maintain cross-brand campaign calendar for assigned brands to ensure a customer centric approach to deploying promotional tactics.

  • Interacts with 3+ assigned brand marketing teams and support functions to develop and manage marketing campaigns

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctorate degree

OR

  • Master's degree and 2 years of marketing operations and/or campaign management experience

OR

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of marketing operations and/or campaign management experience

OR

  • Associate's degree and 10 years of marketing operations and/or campaign management experience

OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of marketing operations and/or campaign management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess advanced relationship management skills to proactively build positive rapport and anticipate client needs.

  • Business savvy; ability to translate business needs into campaign and data requirements

  • Marketing Campaign management experience using leading technologies (Ex. Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred), Adobe, Marketo, etc.) and knowledge of their capabilities and limitations

  • High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate analyses

  • Extremely strong presentation and communication skills

  • Previous Project and/or Production management experience

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Technical experience/aptitude, including HTML coding, and email deliverability

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with a smile
