Amgen Grad Intern - R&D (Global Patient Safety and Labeling 2) in Thousand Oaks, California
Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.
Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.
Emerging technologies including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) have the potential to make data and processes more robust and efficient. The intern will work closely with business process and system owners in the Global Patient Safety organization to identify opportunities to implement these new technologies and evaluate the impact to the business. Evaluations should consider all applicable global regulations and ensure the quality and integrity of data while continuing to meet the needs of key stakeholders. The intern will interface with key cross-functional colleagues including Digital Health and Information Systems. At the end of the summer, the intern will present a business case to leadership for implementation.
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a MBA program for a MBA internship OR a Master's program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Degree concentration(s) in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, Regulatory Sciences
Biotechnology or related fields
Pharmaceutical or Health Care industry experience
