Amgen Global Recruitment Marketing and Employment Branding Lead in Thousand Oaks, California

Amgen is looking for a creative branding expert to lead our recruitment marketing initiatives and employment branding efforts globally. The Global Recruitment Marketing and Employment Branding Lead will report directly to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition and will drive innovation in this field by keeping an eye on upcoming trends, tools and tapping innovative solutions across the globe to stay ahead. He/She will work on global teams, drive enterprise wide solutions, participate and/or manage global projects.


  • Partner with Talent Acquisition leaders and key stakeholders globally to develop and execute strategies that enhance Amgen's visibility in key recruiting markets

  • Evolve Amgen's Employment Branding Strategy to effectively articulate Amgen's culture and value proposition to attract top talent

  • Lead and enable employer branding activities including social media campaigns, industry conference activations, creative collateral, etc.

  • Manage key projects, vendors and long-term technology roadmap in this area

  • Leverage web trends and analytics to drive campaign management and enhance the candidate experience

  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness and return on investment for recruiting marketing programs

  • Provide strategy and support for solutions such as Amgen's diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee referral program, university relations, enhancing the candidate experience, etc.

  • Manage and evolve Amgen's employee referral program

Basic Qualifications :

Doctorate degree


Master's degree and 2 years of Marketing or Human Resources experience


Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Marketing or Human Resources experience


Associate's degree and 10 years of Marketing or Human Resources experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing or Human Resources experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver targeted recruitment marketing, social media and Employee Value Proposition building strategies

  • Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity and organizational change is critical for success in this position

  • Ability to navigate cultural differences, build global but locally relevant solutions

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to manage diverse, cross-functional teams across time zones

  • Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to understand, balance, and articulate both tactical and strategic planning issues

  • Strong quantitative, analytical (technical and business), and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive, collaborative, and persuasive team and project leadership, including conflict resolution, influencing and negotiation skills

  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and handle diverse assignments simultaneously

  • Proven track record engaging key stakeholders and developing effective partnerships across different functions and locations.
