Amgen Global Medical Operations Manager - Performance Management in Thousand Oaks, California
Reporting to the Director Medical Operations or Senior Manager Medical Operations, the Medical Operations Manager - Performance Management position will partner with cross functional teams as well as the IS to ensure timely and quality delivery as well as optimum implementation of the systems and analytics capabilities to support fulfillment of our vision to track, measure, communicate and escalate performance across Medical capabilities.
The Medical Operations Manager - Performance Management role and associated activities are essential to attaining our vision of being recognized as the most accomplished and respected Medical organization by 2022. This role is accountable for all global medical performance management responsibilities which includes but is not limited to ensuring standardization, training, quality, and timely delivery across various global medical systems and analytics capabilities.
This individual achieves results through rigorous goal setting, accountability measures, effective teamwork, performance management, collaboration with other groups and a commitment to serving customers both inside and outside of Global Medical Operations. This individual will ensure a focus on timely quality delivery as well as consistency across all systems and analytics components. All results will be achieved in a manner that embodies Amgen culture and values; collaboration and teamwork, ethics, and staff development.
Lead or champion delivery of systems and analytics reporting to support various global medical capabilities and goals
Lead or champion delivery of KPIs, metrics and other analytics on an ongoing basis while continuously improving and innovating for higher performance
Develop, review and implement policies, SOPs and associated technical documents, in partnership with Global Medical Operations Process area
Maintain systems validation documentation and other regulatory documentation in partnership with Information Systems
Oversee quality controls and assist in response to audit findings
Lead or champion the Global Medical systems implementation, maintenance and upgrades
Manage, monitor and mitigate risk and report on progress of systems and reporting projects
Support the budget and forecast accuracy within area of responsibility
Support recruitment, coaching, mentoring and development of the team members
Lead or champion Global Medical systems implementation, maintenance and upgrades
Support vendor management
Master's degree & 3 years of clinical experience
Bachelor's degree & 5 years of clinical experience
Associate's degree & 10 years of clinical experience
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of clinical experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in life science, computer science, business administration or related discipline
6+ years' work experience in systems or reports management in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech arena
4+ years' experience in managing systems or analytics projects
