Amgen Access & Reimbursement Operations Manager in Thousand Oaks, California

The Access and Reimbursement Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the execution of Access and Reimbursement services meets Amgen business objectives. This role is primarily focused on analytics and project management working with our Sr Operations Managers and business partners.

  • Works with Access Marketing resources and outsource partners to forecast monthly volume and ensure that partners are adequately staffed and ready to meet service objectives

  • Works with the Global Strategic Sourcing organization and Access Marketing to develop and implement win-win contractual relationships with selected Access and Reimbursement partners

  • Works with Access Marketing and selected Access and Reimbursement partners to ensure execution of services meets Amgen stated business objectives

  • Works with internal partners to ensure all work products meet Amgen legal, regulatory, and compliance standards

  • Works with internal and external partners to provide guidance to budgeting process and to report on performance to budget

  • Identify opportunities to advance Amgen US Value and Access strategies, whether they be process or automation enhancements that enhance services and/or reduce costs

  • Provide key indicator reporting on the effectiveness of partners and drive/participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews

  • Coordinate CRM implementation for selected Access and Reimbursement partners

  • Execute field resources (i.e. De-Identified physician dashboard showing summary of utilized services)

  • Administration of Co-Pay Programs

  • Administration of IVR system

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree & 2 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience


Master's degree & 4 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience


Bachelor's degree & 6 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience


Associate's degree & 10 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience


High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Marketing and/or Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Call center / reimbursement hub management experience, call center / reimbursement partner management experience

  • Previous Access and Reimbursement experience from a program development, marketing, sales, or operational standpoint

  • Analytic experience - Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail

  • Project management experience - ability to track complex projects and bring tasks to completion on time and within budget

  • Process management experience - the ability to document processes and improve them to eliminate waste

  • Communication skills - strong spoken and written communication skills to translate Amgen business requirements into operational programs at a partner operation, and ability to effectively navigate to win-win agreements across diverse internal and external partner groups
