Amgen Senior Associate, Business System Analyst - Enterprise Data Warehousing & Integration in Tampa, Florida
Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate Information Systems Programming Analyst - Enterprise Analytics and Reporting who will work on our Analytics and Knowledge Management (AKM) team. The Senior Associate will report to the Senior Manager- Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence and will work out of our Amgen Capability Center in Tampa, FL.

The Senior Associate Information Systems Programming Analyst - Enterprise Analytics and Reporting is responsible for hands-on design, development, implementation, and support of Big Data analytical solutions in cloud to drive Amgen's analytics and business intelligence strategy. The Incumbent will define the architecture and technical solutions to business problems that align with the overall analytics strategy. The incumbent will also identify redundancies and dependencies on other services and manage project execution with service delivery teams. AKM services include Advanced Analytics and Data Integration, Big Data technology services, Information Discovery and Search, Information Architecture, Knowledge Management (KM) and Regulated Content Management.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, Architect & Implement data pipeline from the disparate source systems to enable self-service reporting.
Hands on development, testing, and support, of key projects implementing Big Data technologies
Define the architecture and technical solutions to business problems that align with the overall analytics strategy.
Identify redundancies and dependencies on other services and manage project executions with service delivery teams.
Provide technical leadership to project teams (project managers, architects, business analysts, and developers) on tools, technology, and methodology related to the design and development of Data Engineering & Analytics solutions.
Provide solution for the Technical problems on Data platforms.
Work on Ad-hoc requests on data or technology issues and help internal clients.
Assist in Development of position papers, presentations, and demos on new technology
Actively participate and build relationships with internal business partners, service partners, and software vendors
Collaborate with business partners and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical requirements
Manage risk and compliance by adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines and establishing policies and standard operating procedures
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems experience
2+ Years of experience in one or more ETL tools like Informatica, Snaplogic, Talend Etc.
2+ Years of programming experience in Perl, Shell, Python, Java or C
2+ years of experience on Databases like Teradata, Oracle, Redshift SQL (DML, DDL) and Experience in Writing complex SQL.
2+ years of experience implementing projects using big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or MapReduce
1+ years of healthcare industry experience focused on analytics, business intelligence, reporting or data management
Solid understanding of AWS technologies like Redshift, Athena, EMR, S3, and EC2
Solid understanding of large Scale data processing framework like Hadoop or Spark
Experience in building BI dashboards using Tableau, Spotfire, or Business Objects
Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps
Understanding of relational/ dimensional data modeling techniques
Ability to work in a startup-like environment with little supervision
Ability to effectively present information for all levels, and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
