The Amgen Shanghai facility have modern molecular & cellular science and pathology laboratories, designed to discover and develop valuable biomarkers in support of clinical programs.

Amgen R&D Shanghai Translational Sciences/Medical Sciences is looking for a Research Associate dedicated to translational biomarker research. The successful candidate will work closely with the Translational Science and Clinical Development teams and participate in academic collaborations.

  • Hands on experience with laboratory methodologies including, but not limited to FACS, qPCR, ELISA, Luminex, cell culture and other novel molecular biology and cell biology techniques are required.

  • The candidate is expected to be able to follow and contribute to experimental protocols to complete assignments with limited supervision, interpret and resolve technical issues in the area of expertise, effectively communicate analysis and results to supervisor and present in group setting, and draft technical reports.

The candidate will participate in biomarker research as well as clinical study support and ensure the timely and quality data delivery. The successful candidate must be self-motivated in line with Amgen's culture of innovation and pursuit of scientific excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • MS with 3 years of directly related research experience, in molecular & cellular biology or other relevant subjects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to focus on key issues and be result oriented.

  • Industrial research experience in biomarker/translational medicine.

  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
