Amgen Senior Finance Manager in Shanghai, China

  • Provides robust and objective financial analysis with interpretation and recommendations to the Team in support of decisions

  • Provides financial and business support to operations

  • Leads the FP&A team to drive the business initiatives and deliver the results

  • Ensures implementation and adherence to corporate and HQ guidelines, internal controls and accounting and planning procedures

  • Ensures timely and accurate execution of all accounting and financial (e.g., budget, latest estimate month end close, controlling, reporting, taxation, treasury, internal audit) tasks

  • Implement and Supervises budget control, financial analysis, budget reporting & consolidation into HQ

  • Leads or takes part in local and HQ projects

  • Proactively advises Finance Director and the Business partners on important business and financial decisions/issues

  • Actively contributes to HQ finance processes and issues and represents country specific topics/issues

  • Budget proposals and presentations to local team

  • Create S&OP and finance control tools (planning/cash-flow)

  • Month- and year-end closing

  • Supports accounting team at JV, R&D and WOFE

  • Ad hoc reports analysis on JAPAC financial projects

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

  • 5+ years aggregate experience in different functions within Finance

  • Proficient in Financial Planning and Analysis state-of-the-art know-how

  • Excellent general business knowledge (e.g., industry, finance,)

  • Working knowledge of IS systems (including demonstrated capability of Hyperion Pillar, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication

  • MBA from leading school or CPA

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry

  • +5 years of experience in Finance and some years in managerial and/or team leader position

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Able to manage meetings and key finance stakeholders
