Amgen Project Manager Congress & Events (m/w) in Munich, Germany

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads strategically the external implant partner responsible for coordination of all project phases

  • Drives efficiency and innovation in operational execution of congresses & various types of events and leads evolution of an improved Amgen Congress customer experience

  • Drives the delivery of the activities of the implant partner, including the following:

  • Development, improvement and harmonization of processes for various event types whilst ensuring adherence of compliance

  • Selection and management of agencies / vendors (as appropriate) Management of resourcing (e.g. budget / funding, demand, prioritization, and quality)

  • Operational execution of pharmaceutical congresses & meetings Knowledge sharing and skills training around congress support capabilities

  • Integration with other core stakeholders

  • Deepen understanding of customer experience for Amgen-executed Congress activities

  • Deep knowledge about pharmaceutical industry compliance regulations

  • Lead the external implant partner to improve the customer experience, recommending appropriate path forward

  • Drive collaboration & briefing across multiple stakeholder work streams

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and third party vendors

  • Develops consistent and best-in-industry methods/tools to manage and monitor project timelines, risk, scope changes

  • Define and implement escalation process and means of providing status updates to all stakeholders including upper management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's/master degree in business administration or similar qualification

  • Ideally 2+ years industry experience within a similar role including leading a team and the development and improvement of processes

  • Experience with event planning and related administrative activities and compliance regulations within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Proven record of budget management a plus

  • Very good MS-Office and SAP skills; Lanyon knowledge benefits

  • Very good German and English language skills

  • Structured and analytical working method, problem-solving and decision-making ability
