The purpose of this Medical Information Manager role is to provide Medical Information for all products in the UK/IE affiliate.The key responsibilities of the role will be the management of external and internal Medical Information enquiries and implementation of applicable global / regional MedInfo content
Supervision of outsourced MedInfo activities
Intake, processing, and responding to external and internal Medical information enquiries in compliance with regulations and company SOPs/guidelines
Timely entry of enquiry data into Medical Information eSystem
Adaptation of applicable regional/global Medical Information content to local regulatory requirements
Literature searches and summaries
Provision of training for Medical Information vendors on assigned products
Content provision to Medical Information vendors
Provision of country metrics and interpretation
Contributes to the development of Medical information tools, and best practices
Provision of training on enquiry management for other functions, e. g. sales
Maintenance and application of knowledge on regulations and codes affecting Medical Information
Assesses requirements for Medical Information materials, such as reprints, including budget requirements
Plans Medical Information activities for assigned product(s)
Maintains and expands product and TA knowledge
Contributes to region-wide / global Medical Information projects and initiatives

- BSc Life Sciences/ pharmacy and previous experience in the bio(pharmaceutical) industry, including regulatory, safety, clinical, or Medical Information
Extensive experience in Medical Information within bio(pharmaceutical) industry.
Previous experience in delivery of customer-focused and compliant Medical Information content.
Previous experience of management of 3rd party vendors.
Knowledge of regulations and codes affecting Medical Information content
Scientific knowledge and specific knowledge in at least in one relevant therapeutic area
Analysis of medical-scientific literature
Literature database searching
Usage of IS systems required to perform the job
