The Role

Reporting to the Finance & SME Lead, this position will be managing some key processes and activities in the Analysis and Forecasting area. Responsible for Market Analysis, Business Planning and Competitive Intelligence to deliver high quality insights, thorough recommendations and drive key decisions.

The role will work in close collaboration with Commercial, Finance, Regional SME team and International Headquarters. It will be an integral part of planning process and will provide deliverables that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide with outstanding sales and market analysis, enabling the organization to fly from helicopter view to brick level insights

  • Coordinate Market Research and maximize all available primary and secondary data sources, working closely with the International Market Research team to deliver high quality recommendations

  • Manage the process and analysis of Competitive Intelligence (CI) and participate in the European CI network

  • Develop brand forecasts in accordance with the European processes and models

  • Provide with ad-hoc Forecasts on request

  • Assure that segmentation, targeting and prioritization of customer base is up-to-date with latest Sales and Market data

  • Proactively seek to build Amgen's capability in Market Analysis, Market Research and CI

  • Coordinates and drives with Commercial and Marketing managers to ensure that marketing assumptions are appropriately linked to sales performance metrics and targets (e.g. support SAP and SIP)

  • Owns and uses the quantitative competitive data

  • Coordinates with IS to implement systems and processes initiated on both a European and an affiliate level

  • Maximizes the utilization of the available primary and secondary data sources/systems in support of audience/product

  • Updates, creates and maintains data; ensures that reporting needs are met in CRM system

  • Provides ongoing technical support and general training to CRM system users

  • Provides timely data to internal customers related to CRM

  • Participate in Sales and OPEX planning process

  • Provides Sales and OPEX analysis to the management team and other internal customers

  • Single point of contact for wholesaler partners and Customer Service Teams

Requirements:

  • University Degree, preferably in business/ finance area

  • Minimum 4 years experience of Market Analysis, Market Research, Planning and Forecasting with a successful track record

  • Experience in the Pharma industry

  • Technically proficient in Market Analysis and Forecasting

  • Outstanding use of Excel

  • Good knowledge of databases (Hyperion, Business Objects, Oracle etc)

  • Fluent English

  • Outstanding analytical skills

  • Strong digital affinity

  • Is curious by nature and pays attention to details

  • Is able to explain and condense complex analysis in simple actionable items

  • Is a Team Player and builds his/her network to ensure smooth decision making processes

  • Has outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills
