Amgen Biopharmaceutical Rep in Brussels, Belgium

The Role:

  • This role is responsible and accountable for achieving defined Prolia and Repatha sales targets for primary care business, establishing and managing high quality relationships to maximise sales of Amgen's products in territory

  • In Collaboration with the line manager the Sales Rep is responsible for implementing an agreed plan of action in line with marketing strategy. You will also be accountable for developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the products, market and stakeholders and working within agreed budgets. You'll have regular contacts and work in close collaboration with your regional hospital sales rep (binoom).Responsibilities:

  • Provides input and agrees to territory annual sales objectives with manager

  • Collaborates with manager and relevant stakeholders (Medical Affairs/Product Manager, etc) to develop, agree and implement territory POA, and define responsibilities

  • Evaluates progress vs plan during monthly meeting, and agrees to course corrections with manager where necessary

  • Develops and maintains up-to-date customer/market understanding, collects proactive information of important GP groupings

  • Reports customer activity in the Customer relationship management (CRM) system and ensures customer profiles are kept up-to-date

  • Details products in accordance with Amgen's sales process and agreed marketing strategy and uses digital technology (MI, NEXXUS) in day to day business.

  • Provides regular feedback to product/sales management on competitor activity

  • Ensures all activities are in compliance with local MDEON code and Amgen Policies (SOP)

  • Operates within the agreed expense budget

  • Continuously develops and improves product knowledge, communication and selling skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programmes

  • Ensures open communication and shares best practices

Field Based: Belgium, South East Region, Li├Ęge/Namur

Basic qualifications

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferrably in a selling or sales-related role is an asset

  • Some experience in customer and relationship management

  • Capacity and willingness to develop, organise, manage and drive a specific region focussing on growing the primary care business.

  • Basic knowledge on the Belgian healthcare system

  • Knowledge of legal and compliance environment (Mdeon code) or willing to have in depth training

  • Must possess a full driving licence

  • English: strong knowledge in reading & writing

Graduate in a healthcare or business discipline

Preferred qualifications

  • Scientific bachelor or master degree (ex pharmacy, physiotherapy, ergotherapy, ..)

  • Experienced use of excel, word, powerpoint
