At Amgen Breda, The Netherlands, we focus on the packaging and distribution part of the drugs we have developed which are produced at our international sites. The packaging and distribution is supported by the Operations, Customer Service and Demand, Information Systems and Quality departments.
The site also supports a sales organization.
Process Development, Operations and Quality (POQ) are the core divisions of Amgen that make sure the drugs are delivered to our patients. Made up of seven functions and spread across seven sites, POQ's aspiration is simple: Supply every patient, every time!
As our new Transportation Specialist you reside in the Amgen Breda Intercontinental Supply Hub. This team manages Order-to-Invoice and Distribution activities to international markets across the globe (e.g. Middle-East, Asia, Pacific, US)
In this role you ensure the cost effective and GDP-compliant transportation of Amgen products from source to international (internal and external) customers. You manage performance of and relationship with Transportation Service Providers.
You are responsible for end-t-end cold chain management and you develop, implement, maintain and monitor best in class cold chain- and transportation solutions.
Ensure reliable and compliant transportation of Amgen products.
Responsible for Cold Chain management end to end.
Plan, build and manage distribution lanes.
Manage and execute the controlled environment logistics program for the Supply Hub.
Own and manage Non Conformances and Change Controls.
Document and maintain procedures for the effective transportation of temperature controlled products.
Measure cold chain compliance. Develop and maintain process metrics and key performance indicators.
Implement and execute Good Distribution Practices.
Serve as Distribution Subject Matter Expert for audits.
Manage third party distribution partners (carriers, vendors) to meet Service Level agreements.
Ensure compliance with cross-border import /export requirements.
Bachelor degree preferably in logistics or engineering.
3+ years experience in the logistics industry, in a role of supplier management Supply chain, cold chain and warehousing expertise.
Solid experience in project management across departments and geographies.
Experience managing suppliers and improving processes.
GMP and GDP knowledge.
Knowledge of Operational Excellence tools.
Experience with SAP.
Good technical writing skills.
