Amgen Program Manager – China Development Program Management in Shanghai, China
Key Responsibilities:
Support China Product Team (CPTs) in executing China development strategy and Brand strategy throughout the product life-cycle
Contribute to the development of high quality, integrated cross functional drug development plans in support of the development / brand strategy
Communicate effectively with global/country team members, senior leaders, and the broader organization
Partners with CPT leaders to lead CPT meetings, track actions and decisions, provide clear timelines and execute strategy
Proactively communicates status of key deliverables and escalates issues to senior management in a timely manner.
Partners with CPT leaders and other project leads to achieve overall team effectiveness, include assessing, evaluating and recommending options for improvement
Leverage well developed interpersonal skills to build & maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders
Ensure that team decisions/recommendations are adequately communicated
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or relevant field
Advanced degree preferred (MSc / PhD / MBA) or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional training
In depth industry knowledge/experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare related field
Experience in a pharmaceutical industry Development Project Management role
Experience in managing cross-functional teams
International collaboration and experience of working with different cultures
PMP Certification is a plus
Key Competencies:
Drug Development experience including:
Basic understanding of the biopharmaceutical environment and the drug development process
Basic understanding of functional interdependencies
Basic understanding of external industry landscape
Program and Project Management skills including:
Development of integrated cross-functional project plans
Basic strategic planning and execution within cross-functional teams
Critical thinking - ability to identify cross-functional team risks, gaps and problem solve
Some experience in decision making and effective issue resolution
Some experience in budget and resource planning
Effective meeting management (agendas, minutes, decision logs, meeting facilitation)
Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly and effectively present information formally and informally
Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English
Resourceful, proactively seeking tools and guidance as needed
